At least 10% of the people in most churches are already in some form of leadership. This course will help equip you for leadership in the context of mission. If you would like to learn as part of the Missional Leadership programme, but do not want to become a postgraduate student, there is an option to gain a Springdale Missional Leadership Certificate.
The course is comprised of six modules, studied over two years, establishing a theoretical base, with acquisition of key skills, as well as a critical engagement of missional leadership. You will be supplied with comprehensive Learning Packs for each topic on the course. Your work with these packs will be supported by regular engagement with a Regional Study Network (RSN) – local study groups comprised of fellow students, who meet to review, discuss and enhance their learning guided by a tutor.
RSN Study Groups
For the academic year 2011/12 there are four live RSNs located at Birmingham, Bristol, Exeter and London (Balham). We hope to run centres in Cardiff, Reading and Sheffield. Each RSN meets for two full days per term.
Summer School
Students come together for an annual summer school, held over an extended weekend in July. Three topics, one from each module, are covered at the Summer School.
Fees
This not-for-credit option costs £650 per annum for the two facilitated years. Assignments are not required.
