There are two points of entry in each academic year:
- September. Applications are accepted up until 31st July of each year.
- January. Applications are accepted up until 31st November of each year.
The Admissions Process
1. Begin by registering your interest in this course. Complete the ‘Application Request’ online web form, or PDF form, by telling us some basic details about yourself.
2. You will receive an email within 1-2 days containing a full application form (PDF), notes on how to complete the form, and two reference forms (PDF). The reference forms can be emailed to your referees and completed electronically. Saved references can be attached in an email and sent to: admissions@sdcol.org.uk.
3. To be considered at admissions board, applicants must return all documents listed in the application checklist, either electronically or as hard copies. Hard copies can be posted to the address below, and photocopies can be attached in an email to admissions@sdcol.org.uk.

5. Your documents will be collected together and presented at an admissions board. Successful applicants will be notified by post and email. Applicants must return the attached acceptance letter to formally accept their place on the course. Students will then be given access to online learning resources via Moodle, and a Springdale College email account.
Entry RequirementS
Springdale College admits students to the programme at 18 years of age or above who fulfill the entrance requirements.
Students who fulfil the English language requirements* and:
Springdale College admits students to the programme of 18 years of age who have GCSE Maths and English at ‘C’ or above and 2 A Level passes or equivalent. We will also consider applicants of 21 years old or over who do not meet the normal entry requirements.
All applicants have to successfully pass an interview and Criminal Records Board (CRB) checks are required for all students who will be working directly or in close proximity with children or young people.
Entry as a mature student requires the completion of a initial student evaluation. Details are available by request to the office.
Notes to entry requirements
* English Language Requirements: For students whose first language is not English, it is recommended that their level of English language be at an IELTS (or equivalent) score of 6.0 with not less than 5.5 in any component.
Students need to be engaged in a ministry of some kind. This could be youth work, children’s work, community or pastoral work, or some other kind of creative ministry.
